Sculptural Slumping online lecture: Multiple Bends
In this online Zoom lecture, I will concentrate on the process of bending (or slumping) glass multiple times to achieve complex forms. Students may have previously taken my studio course (Sculptural Slumping Masterclass) and want to improve their understanding of this kiln forming technique involving several stages of slumping. Or new students will enjoy a fresh perspective on slumping techniques. After the session, resources will be available on a Google Drive including: a sheet with top tips and temperatures, presentation images/videos and a recording of the session when completed. Twenty minutes at the end will be allotted for a Q&A to answer your queries from the session or regarding your own work in the chat box or live discussion (depending on numbers). If you are outside the UK and the time zone doesn’t suit you, consider signing up as you’ll receive a recording of the session and the same course materials to go over in your own time.
A Zoom link will be emailed to all subscribers for a prompt start at 7pm. Please log in about 5 minutes before the course to make sure you’ve downloaded Zoom and had time to sign in. A recording of the session will be available the next day along with other lecture materials on a Google Drive. Students are encouraged to send queries in advance that may be addressed in the presentation. Please purchase through my online shop at https://www.pettibone.co.uk/shop
