Glass Pechakucha 2019

Friday 23rd August

Glass Pechakucha 2019 entry form and information

The Contemporary Glass Society (CGS) is looking for 15 enthusiastic CGS members to take part in a Glass Pechakucha event at the International Festival of Glass 2019 on Friday the 23rd August.
This will be a fantastic opportunity for our members to showcase their work to an eager and informed audience. The CGS presented their first Pechakucha at the International Festival of Glass in 2010. It was invigorating, informative and great fun!
Devised in Tokyo in 2003 as an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public; Pechakucha derives its name from the Japanese term for the sound of "chit chat". It rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: a selection of images shown for 20 seconds each; to keep things moving at a rapid pace.

We would like to invite CGS glass artists who are attending the Festival to talk for 3 minutes each whilst showing a selection of 9 images.
This may seem short and sweet but it is designed to give a concise introduction to you and your work, each image will be shown for 20 seconds. Images could include new projects, commissions, acquisitions, products or could be more loosely related to people or things that inspire you. It all happens so fast there is no time to be nervous, anyone can do this.

All members who would like to apply should download and fill out the form saving the title of the form with your “last name, first name & Pechakucha“ for example:
