A CGS Call for Artists for next online Gallery Exhibition "Digital Distance"

"Digital Distance"- Approaches to Digital Technology on 6th May 2019.

The CGS would like to invite artists that utilize new technologies e.g. within digital fields, within their glass work, to take part in an international online glass gallery exhibition.

What do we mean by digital technology? It can include digital production technologies such as CAD (computer assisted design) & CNC manufacturing (multi-axis milling, laser cutting, 3D prototyping, computer assisted manufacture, etc.).

It can also include digital audio, imagery and video. And works that highlight that 'sums up’ digital technology e.g. pixelation for example.

The deadline for submission is 5th May. If you have any questions, or need help, please ensure that these are in to us well ahead of time. Please do not leave your submission to the last 24 hours.

The usual criteria will apply:

Submit 1 image only
The image must be of the entire piece, not a detail.
Unless the work is an external works, please enure it includes a neutral background, see above.
It must not have been shown in a previous CGS online show.
The photograph must fulfill our photography requirements Full details are at 'Resources/How To' section of the website www.cgs.org.uk

You will need to be a CGS member to take part in all our free online shows. New members are welcome to join!

All work will be juried by the Contemporary Glass Society Board.

Log in to your profile using your username and password, this was originally set as User Name = your membership number Password = membership number plus last three letters of your surname (lower Case) and (Capital letter) your initial ie. 3098kieP (e.g. Pam Reekie) unless you have changed it.

When you login you will land on your profile page, Click on the 'Edit' tab. Then you will need to click on the sub menu 'Exhibition'.

All details can be viewed and uploaded on that page. Write the exhibition title in the ‘submitted to’ box. Upload your image. Make sure you fill in all fields below the image.

Remember to click save. You will receive an email confirming your submission.
