Abstract Submission

GLASSAC is an international meeting that involves the chemical, physical and biological sciences with art, archaeology and history of glass artefacts.

In 2020, the 6th International Conference on Glass Science in Art and Conservation – GLASSAC – will take place in Cambridge, again in a joint venture with the SGT annual conference. Awaits to become another successful experience, and to bring together works-in-progress as well as finished achievements, experiences which raise questions as well as those which provide answers, to the reward of all the glass community in Science, Art and Conservation fields. As in previous years, we could not neglect the rich and varied history of glass and the heritage of historic glass artefacts which generate such insight into the life and work of our forebears. Therefore we hope to create a meeting of minds concerning the study of glass materials not only in the art field, but also for technological applications, and concerning the heritage we enjoy – its appreciation, conservation, understanding and presentation to today’s audience.

The scope of GLASSAC 2020 embraces all strands of glass knowledge, and invites authors to submit their contributions to a wide range of fields of interest around glass.
