The Amanda Moriarty Prize 2019

In 2017 Amanda Moriarty, a long serving Board member and Honorary Treasurer of CGS passed away, In memory of her enthusiasm and encouragement of glass making we aim to offer an annual prize.
For our second prize in 2019, we have had a very generous donation from Colin Reid, the U.K’s renowned glass artists and Honorary Member of CGS, to give someone two weeks residency in his studio. With the aim to; develop new ideas, produce a new piece of work through to a finished piece.
This would be achieved in two parts;
Week one: develop your ideas and get the work in the kiln.
Week two: come back to the studio when the work has annealed, to cold work and finish the piece.
We are also offering £300 towards costs during the residency.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an established artist and have access to amazing equipment.

We are sure there will be a lot of interest in this prize so make sure you make every effort to tell us about yourself and what you hope to achieve in Colin’s studio.

All CGS members can apply for this Prize by Completing the application form below and return to admin@cgs.org.uk by 28th February 2019

We shall announce the winner by 15th April 2018
