I'm a retired dentist but very much a student as far as glass is concerned. I started with stained glass about 4 years ago but now since buying my own kiln I love fused glass too. I've just started to sell some of my work.

Creating the sense of a living presence is an important thread running through the work, whether achieved through animation, performance or in sculptural form.

Having trained as an art teacher in the Netherlands, I have worked as a painter and print maker in Britain for many years, I am a member of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers. Around the millennium I saw the “Prisoners of Conscience” window in Salisbury Cathedral, which started me off on stained glass. I now live in Worcester and still make etchings and wood cuts as well as stained glass.

I completed a BA (Hons) Fine Art in 2010 and am a perpetual student of archaeology. My interdisciplinary work explores the deep past of humanity and treasures unearthed from the journey into the darkness. Dartmoor also inspires my work with its rugged elemental intensity, semi-wild animals and abundant prehistoric monuments.
