Kilned formed, slumped over hand made moulds incorporating photographic images

My photographic images are important to me as a way of capturing and keeping memories. They are the first tangible material along with the pebbles I collect from the seashore to be used as physical inspiration for my work in glass.

Black Cat Glass Designs are makers of fused, slumped and some leaded glass. Our range comprises of vases, dishes, bowls, fused-glass flowers, jewellery, wall-art and mirrors. We work from our garden studio in the Forest of Dean where we take our inspiration from colour, producing bright, colourful and vibrant pieces.

History lies around us

Memories lie within us

Both are moments in time

Some are ephemeral; some are carved in our souls

At Alx Creations I endeavour to hold those memories and the emotions they evoke, in beautiful, handcrafted glass. I work on a range of pieces from architectural glass and public art to smaller works of art for the home and jewellery. I am also available to create bespoke pieces for a range of customers and run one to one workshops.

I make fun and optimistic pieces in fused glass and textiles. I love bright positive colours and imagery from nature, often with influences from retro fabrics, ceramics and wallpaper.

Blue Design Shed was established in 2014 by me, Bex Burston. It is based in my garden in a village in South Cambridgeshire. My love of Applied Arts has led over the years to experimentation with everything from ceramics, photography and cake decorating to bookbinding, but I have settled on mostly working with glass and textiles, and occasionally wood and metal.

I gained my BTec Art Foundation at the Kent Institute of Art and Design, my BA (Hons) Applied Arts Practice at University of Hertfordshire and my PGDip Arts Management at Anglia Ruskin University.

Karina Wyroba

Hello, I am a student at De Montfort University, Leicester, studying Design Crafts. My favorite material to work with is glass, and I have many hours of fun experimenting and always trying out new techniques and processes. I love how the unexpected occurrences and ''happy accidents'' make things that never come out quite as I expect them to.
