The Blues - Light switch
Photographer: www.jillycunningham.com
Details: Tiffany glass & mixed materials. 9.5x9.5x1cm
While designing interiors I realised that we often ignore a crucial detail in every room - the light switch. Unimpressed by switches currently available, I decided to make my own. Each switch is completely unique and can be custom designed to complement your home.

Rainy days & Rainbows
Photographer: Emma White
Details: Without Darkness and Rainy days. You can't appreciate the Light and Rainbows. Dimensions 35cm x 55cm. Bullseye glass panel.
I have designed this panel using bullseye glass. I also finally have used some of my bullseye exclusive glass.

I often find it can be problematic to use the exclusive glass as it is alrealdy so beautiful. But broken up it really seems to work. I have used plenty of clear glass to ensure the exclusive glass would not dominate.

I finished off this panel by incorporating iridescent strips with raindrops and vitrograph stringers to obtain more movement. I have also deliberately left this panel textured. So the natural light would bounce off of it, in all directions. Lighting up different details.

A Dictation of Secretary Birds
Photographer: Martin Cheek. Phtographer: Peter Smith
Details: Original Mosaic Media: Handmade glass fusions, handmade murrini and millefiori, Sicis glass tiles Size: 55 cm x 55 cm Date: 2019
A Dictation of Secretary Birds
On the sub-Saharan savannahs is where secretary birds abound,
Busy making and answering phone calls for the lions lyin’ around.
Factually, of course, that isn’t quite true to life on the African veldt,
But it raises the question why secretary birds are called that and not something else.
It’s said those spiky feathers that sprout from the back of the head,
Recall secretaries working in banks in an era that’s now long dead,
With a handy supply of inky quills tucked firmly behind each ear,
They were always prepared to pen letter or bill in a style that was bold and clear.
The communal word for secretary birds is a plain and simple ‘nest’
Which compared with other exotic names is very far from the best,
More apt, I think, for this bird of prey that roams the African nation
Would be if a flock of these hooked-beaked goons were referred to as ‘a dictation’.

Equilibrium
Details: Fused glass, borosilicate glass. Dimensions: 15 x 23 x 8 cm. Year: 2019
Balance is the state of a body when the sum of all the forces and moments that act in it is counteracted.
We say that someone or something is in balance when, despite having little support base, remains standing without falling.
We recognize balance in situations of harmony between different things or between parts of a whole.
What better than to aspire to find this equilibrium, harmony and stability in our lives.
This artwork was made through the use of Digital Technology CAD – computer assisted design.
