Sue MacGillivray

I am a designer and artist working in glass. I now work with kiln forming having spent at least 20 years specialising in glass blowing. I trained at Stourbridge College of Art and subsequently did a Masters Degree which I did with the University of Wolverhampton at Technikon Pretoria in South Africa and a PGCE. I worked as a designer and maker for Dartington Crystal, as an educator, teaching glass and running degree courses at Plymouth College of Art. I now have an atelier and boutique in Brittany, France (La Verrerie de Guerlédan), where I make a range of items to sell as gifts, undertake commissions and try out new creative projects. I run courses at the atelier, mainly in fusing but sometimes in basic casting techniques. We have chambres d'hôtes so it is possible to come and stay, make glass and enjoy Brittany. La vie est belle!

I recently undertook a commission for a door with three fused glass panels at a property in St Ives.
