Working with kiln-fired glass is both rewarding and challenging. The process is quite physical in that it involves measuring, cutting, grinding and firing and this, coupled with the unpredictability of the final outcome, is what makes it such an appealing and absorbing activity.
I have been fascinated by space, stars and planets from childhood, and this interest is reflected in my ‘Planets Series’. I am liberal and unashamed in my use of artisitc licence – but nonetheless I do try to model my work on what is really out there.
