Annie Ross

Having worked with Stained Glass for many years,I have recently moved into casting and slumping glass. These processes enable me to develop ideas in a more physical way and take me back to my Fine Art roots.

My main interest is in the mathematics and forms in nature and how the earth yields up its history through discarded objects and finds. Recently I have been exploring the theme of shipwrecks and the deterioration and loss of form through time. I have aimed to recycle all the scrap glass in my workshop to produce these sculptures which are now extending into adding glass to paintings which takes me back to my Fine Art roots.
