I am a glass artist working in kiln formed glass for the past ten years. Previously I painted wild Cornish seascapes and tranquil rivers. I have always loved glass and I made stained glass panels, which then led me to join kiln- formed glass classes at Richmond Art School. While there have learnt and used various techniques, including most methods of casting, Pate de Verre, fusing and slumping. glass. I passed BTEC Certificates in 3D Design at levels 1 and 2. I recently showed two cast pieces in a Just Glass Society exhibition "Recollection - Memories in Glass."
My main interests are glass, nature and conservation. I love water and produce glass pieces and panels which explore similarities between glass and water – transparency, liqidity, light and colour.
I have produced decorative dynamic fused panels,and themed unusual 3-D glass pieces.
I am currently working on producing a series of fused panels on a conservation theme.
