I work in glass and ceramic, exploring the beauty of geometry, recurrence and order. My work is ever evolving and in constant flux. It explores the processes of transformation in nature and the narrative of space and boundaries. In my current work, I draw using CAD software. They are either 3D printed or CNC milled to be cast in glass or ceramic. I am a technical advisor to Grymsdyke Farm, an experimental workshop researching innovative uses of materials. I have a Masters Degree in Contemporary Craft major in glass from the University for the Creative Arts at Farnham.
The ‘Melt’ series are inspired by Melting Glaciers. Hexagonal cones made using thin layers of pate de verre echoes the fragile structure of ice crystals.
