After a career in book publishing and studying creative embroidery, I changed direction and studied jewellery. I am collector of British Studio Glass so it was a natural progression to making my own, finding fulfilment in kiln-formed glass. A founder member of The Just Glass Society and Chair until 2015, I currently serve on the Committee as Editor of the Members' Newsletter and Organiser of the biennial Just Glass Seminar.
Images from the natural and cosmic world have always been an inspiration to me as have the contrasts between matt and gloss, smooth and rough, light and dark, hard and soft. I also draw inspiration from my own life, memories of war and my work in the publishing industry whilst still keeping to my love of texture and the effect of light on glass.
