Beth Gates
Beth is a graduate from The University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, specialising in hot glass. She uses the world around her for inspiration with colour and form being an important part of her practice. In January 2019 she was featured on BBC News, she was interviewed about her Glassblowing and what it is like to be a young maker. Currently working under Colin Hawkins at LOCO Glass.
My work is informed by bright, contrasting colours placed on large organic soft forms. I have an interest in sculptural glass and the images and patterns that I can transfer into the process of hot glass. I create a variety of blown and hot sculpted work.
