Nancy Goodens

I am an artist in fused glass, working with glass as a fine art medium to create 2-dimensional artwork for framing, freestanding pieces and occasionally vessels. My work focuses on seascapes and woodlands, utilising the transparency and textures of glass for the portrayal of atmosphere, light and depth. I run Artworks, an independent art studio offering various classes including fused glass.

My work explores the colour and texture of glass fusing materials and techniques in a painterly way, an intuitive response to an image or drawing, further enhanced by the surprises created during the glass firing process. Favourite inspirational locations include South Devon, West Cornwall, Dorset and the South Downs.
