Corporate support

Supporting a charity such as CGS has many benefits for companies. Employees and customers like organisations with big hearts, so supporting a charity can bring your company increased sales, and a happier, more committed workforce. There are also tangible business benefits such as increased exposure to your target audience that can have a very positive effect on your bottom line.

Some of the ways that you can support CGS include:

  • Donations towards our work
  • Discount offers for our members
  • Gifts in kind
  • Help to reach new members
  • Sponsorship of events/exhibitions

In return we can offer your company unique access to a wide range of glass artists and art-lovers through our website, events, full colour magazine and regular e-newsletters and other mailings.

Companies supporting CGS will be helping us to drive our mission, enabling artists to reach their artistic potential and ensuring that the public and collectors have the opportunity to give them the recognition and acclaim that they deserve.

Please contact Pam Reekie, Membership and Fundraising Administrator, to hear about our current sorporate support opportunities and to support CGS today.

Tax effective giving

There are a number of incentives to encourage businesses to support UK charities and your business can also claim tax relief on donations of money to charity under the Corporate Gift Aid Scheme.

When you make a donation to CGS you simply deduct that amount from your total profits before calculating your corporation tax. Therefore, you receive corporation tax relief on the full donation.

If you are self-employed or run a partnership, your donations will be treated in the same way as gifts from individuals, and you will need to fill out our gift aid form.

For more information please read the Institute of Fundraising’s tax effective giving guide or visit the HMRC website.
