Glass Blowing

Special students' offer from Bild-Werk Frauenau.

All full time students in art, applied art or design are invited to Bild-Werk Frauenau to experience glass blowing at the glass furnace. No prior experience with glass is needed, however, also experienced glassblowers will receive advanced training and inspiration by renowned masters of the International Studio Glass Movement. This summer we offer two intensive glass blowing courses in our newly equipped hot shop, and students can apply for a special price reduction.

Students pay two-thirds of the course fee only € 767 for 17 teaching days

In addition we offer free camping with use of our bathrooms and kitchen facilities.

The Hot Glass Courses.

Sally McCubbin: Process makes Perfect: Making Soulful Glass Design (July 9 – 25) Stephen Dee Edwards: Multiples in Hot Glass (August 6 – 22)

The courses take place in the context of the Summer Academy sessions. Details to all courses available on http://www.bild-werk-frauenau.de/en/courses/academy.php

The two hot shop courses will appeal to those with both a craft orientation and an art orientation and will suit complete beginners as well those with glass experience seeking to add to their skills.
