Introduction to Leaded Lights – 1 day - 18/09/15
suitable for beginners and improvers

This course introduces the traditional craft of stained glass making, giving you the confidence to restore your own damaged windows at home whilst creating a stained glass panel or “light catcher” from scratch.

No previous experience is required as you will cover glass cutting, making patterns, stretching and shaping lead came, soldering techniques, cementing & polishing during the day. You will also be advised on the tools and equipment required to set up your own studio.

The course is run by Ian Hartless who has over 25 years experience in traditional stained glass. He is currently involved with the restoration of the Anglican Cathedral in Liverpool as well as running his own stained glass business and teaching in a local college. It is held at our fully equipped studio at 32 Wellington Park, Dunes Way, Liverpool L5 9RJ.

Each course has a maximum of 5 people giving plenty of opportunity to ask questions whilst looking to other delegates for inspiration & ideas.

You will only need to bring a sturdy pair of shoes, as all materials, glass, tools and safety equipment are provided. We also supply refreshments on site and lunch is included at a nearby café.
