The Glass Association AGM and Study Day
Saturday 14th October 2017
Ely Cathedral Conference Centre
Ely, Cambs CB7 4EW
Ely cathedral has its origins in AD 672 when St Etheldreda built an abbey church. The present building dates back to 1083, and cathedral status was granted in 1109. Known locally as ‘the ship of the Fens’, the building is clearly visible for miles around and this year we are pleased to hold our AGM in the Cathedral Conference Centre. The adjacent Stained Glass Museum offers a unique insight into the fascinating history of stained glass, an art-form that has been practiced in Britain for at least thirteen hundred years.
