Over fifty Graduates from seventeen colleges entered the C.G.S. Glass Prize & 'New Graduate Review' 2018. The work was of exceptional standard this year and showed the breath of techniques’ and skills needed with this fascinating material, from; lampwork, casting, blowing and fusing.
The selection panel; Laura Johnston architectural artists, Michael Barnes glass collector, Sarah L. Brown glass artists and Pam Reekie, glass collector and C.G.S. administrator, had a long and arduous task to select the Winners; Highly Commended, plus another twelve Commended graduates to be included in the Review.

The C.G.S. 'New Graduate Review' is a 16 page publication, which will be circulated to all C.G.S. Members & Associates, plus through ‘Neues Glas - New Glass: Art & Architecture.’ magazine and and ‘CRAFTS’ social media.

This publication will give C.G.S. an opportunity to showcase work from the talented Prize Winners plus work from several more emerging British graduates. It is vital to promote all glass education courses as more and more creative courses are threatened with closure.
