CGS GLASS PRIZE and Graduate Review

Following on from the successful annual student glass prize awarded at ‘New Designers’, C.G.S. has decided to expand the opportunity for all British and Irish glass graduates. We have replaced the New Designers Glass Award with a more inclusive publication, “C.G.S. Graduate Review”. This is a 16 page publication, which will be circulated extensively as well as via Neues Glas - New Glass: Art & Architecture, crafts&design and CRAFTS social media and will give us an opportunity to showcase more of the emerging talent form British Graduates. There will be prizes for the Winner and two Runners-up.

All students graduating from a British & Irish accredited course in 2017 will be eligible to enter, by submission of application form and digital images. There will be one Winner and two Runners-up, with several Commendations, all will appear in the C.G.S. - Graduate Review.

The first prize includes £250 in cash, a £250 Warm Glass voucher, and a promotional and marketing package, including two years’ CGS Membership; craft&design will also be providing editorial coverage and promotional space in the Makers Gallery section of craft&design Online and CRAFTS magazine free subscription for one year.
The winner’s work will also appear on the front cover of the GRADUATE REVIEW and they will have several promotional pages inside.
Two runners-up will each receive vouchers from Creative Glass UK, free subscription to Crafts magazine and a promotional package, including a year’s C.G.S. Membership.
They will also have a full page each in the GRADUATE REVIEW.
Alan J. Poole will provide a selection of glass related books, for the winner & runners up.

Criteria for Selection
• You must be graduating from a British or Irish accredited course in 2017.
• Work must consist of at 50% glass.
• The work will be judged for quality and concept
