Amanda Moriarty

I trained as an architectural glass artist in Bristol and at Central St. Martins. My work includes various innovative techniques using vibrant colour to create unique pieces for site-specific locations.

My background is in Fine Art and I apply this knowledge to all aspects of my creative work. I am particularly inspired by the use of colour and light in my kiln formed glass work.

I am an Edinburgh based sculptor working primarily in the mediums of glass and ceramics. I explore the simplicity of form in combination with pattern and surface texture to explore ideas relating to the human condition. I specialise in casting and engraving techniques. I have just completed my MFA (distinction) in Glass at Edinburgh College of Art and I have exhibited internationally.
