My studio work is based on the handcrafted sensitivity of glassmaking inspired by organic and naturally repeating forms. I work mainly in the mediums of glass and ceramics. Minimal amounts of cutting are used working with the simplicity of the form to create a soft sensitive aesthetic.
Details about work or recent projects
I completed my PhD at the University of Sunderland in 2009, which was an investigation into the combination of glass and ceramics in studio practice. I now work from my studio in Edinburgh as well as teaching at Edinburgh College of Art as a Glass Research Fellow.
