Paul Mellor

Worked as a telephone engineer for 34 years in the Derbyshire Peak district which gave me inspiration for my glass work which I took up some 14 years ago. I mainly work now in stained glass both foiled and leaded. My pieces take a long time to make as I tend to work on small scale items using combinations of different processes. Glass has always given me a great deal of pleasure and makes me see and appreciate the beauty of our surroundings.

Details about work or recent projects

My recent work includes my entry to the medallions exhibition which I was very pleased to sell. I also had a sucessful entry in the Macclesfield Silk Museum button project which also sold. I am now incorporating engraved and etched patinad copper into my glass work
