Siobhan Healy (BA Hons) is a graduate of Edinburgh College of Art, Edinburgh University. She is now a member Glasgow Sculpture Studios, the Whisky Bond, Glasgow. She uses flameworked and cast glass to create sculptural forms and stained glass for architectural settings.
"Together this collection of work, rich in symbolism from the past yet contemporary in form demonstrate the possible synergies archives and collections can provide. Siobhan Healy has responded to the Fleur de Lis and butterflies scattered throughout the collection in a gentle yet thought-provoking way offering the viewer layers of connections to the past as well as highlighting some of the ecological themes informing the present and the future. Botanics in the Burrell demonstrates the value of history and heritage in inspiring innovation and creativity."
