Janette Garthwaite

I design and make colourful kiln-formed glass in my south London studio. My varied practice includes wall-hung panels created with texture and pattern producing unique glass 'paintings'. I use similiar techniques to produce collections of slumped vessels for sale through gallery shops and as private commissions.

Details about work or recent projects

I produce work for the Royal Academy of Arts shop supplying gift items inspired by exhibitions and the current merchandise ranges. Each individual piece is handmade with variations ensuring a unique product.
A project based on photographs of my Yorkshire family garden has so far taken the form of a series of glass 'paintings'.
