Janette Garthwaite Glass

Hot Stripes - Lge Bowl (detail)
Janette Garthwaite

I work in my south London studio using texture and colour to produce vibrant kiln-formed glass pieces. My practice includes fused vessels, jewellery and wall-hung glass 'paintings' for sale through gallery shops and as private commissions.

Details about work or recent projects

I currently produce commissioned work for the Royal Academy of Arts shops supplying gift items inspired by exhibition and artist merchandise ranges. Each piece is handmade ensuring a unique product.
A recent project based on photographs of my Yorkshire family garden has so far taken the form of a series of glass 'paintings'.
