My inspiration starts with a single object, which is developed and interpreted in different ways. I am influenced by my overseas travels but mainly draw on my experiences around the home and family. My work is kiln formed: cast or fused.

Details about work or recent projects

The Out of Context Series took it's inspiration from the humble brick and the art of construction.
In Transient Isle Series I am looking at the oyster and the island where it lived and died. I developed my designs around the layering and ageing of the shell, the changes to the island over time; of its' ever shifting sands and mans' interventions. The life cycle of the beach, the textures of the coastline all influence these pieces.
