Katharine Coleman is a freelance glass engraver and active member of CGS.
She works full time from her studio in Clerkenwell, London. For her, membership of CGS is a lifeline into contemporary glass, having not been on any glass course in the past beyond an adult education college course in glass engraving in the 1980s and occasional subsequent summer short courses at Northlands and the IFG.
CGS has brought useful contacts for her work and been a means of discovering and appreciating so much about other fields of glassmaking and glass art.
She joined the Committee as a maker with experience of administration in another glass society that had already secured charitable status and will continue to serve while she can be of assistance.
