Title Wanted - A Glass Kiln
Category Looking for
Main Details I am looking for a pre-loved glass kiln in good working condition that can plug into a standard household socket - or something an electrician can sort out quite easily/cheaply. Its my first kiln and although the plan could change I'd like to fuse, slump, cast, anneal and generally experiment with materials and learn. It would be good to have a digital programmer but I would consider the kiln on its own if I could get hold of the controller seperately or from new. It would be nice to know that spare parts are easily available in the UK and not cost prohibitive! Please do get in touch if you have a kiln that you think I might be interested in.

Thanks

This year, the exhibition will take place in The Park Gallery’s new location on the ground floor of Callendar House.

Title Looking for glass bits
Category Looking for
Main Details Katie Lake is an artistic metalworker who often combines small pieces of glass into her work to add colour and vibrancy.

I wondered whether anyone could help as I am currently having problems getting hold of the glass. I have in the past found great pieces and then the product seems to be discontinued or thye stop doing the best colours or change the size of the piece to a smaller version!

The bits I can get seem very expensive for what they are and are limited in thier colours.

The shapes I am particularly looking for are:

- large globs, cathederal nuggets, discs or pebbles approx. 35 - 45mm diameter

- ice cubes approx. 30mm x 30mm x 20-25+mm tall

- squares approx. 40- 50mm x 40-50mm x 5-10mm tall

Any leads or contacts most gratefully received.
