“Out of the Stable”
We are pleased to announce “Out of the Stable”, an exhibition of equestrian artworks in the Royal borough of Greenwich, 5 minutes trot from the equestrian events in Royal Greenwich Park.
The exhibition is displayed in a Victorian house in Blackheath, Greenwich. These period houses are an ideal setting for the classical subject of equestrian artworks.
Over the years Xavier White has held a number of exhibitions in his front room gallery space and ad hoc sculpture garden.
For a cultural event near the equestrian Olympics event Xavier put a call out for submissions in March 2012, with the aim to exhibit selected submissions. This has brought together 30+ works by 15 artists in a variety of media to make an exciting exhibition in addition to the Olympic equestrian events for London 2012.
Out of the Stable is part of the Contemporary Glass Societies
Glass Games 2012, an extravaganza of nationwide glass based events around the Olympic spirit. http://www.cgs.org.uk/
The private view is 6-9pm on 13th July and opens from 14th July for every weekend from 12-4pm until 31st August and open everyday from the 2nd – 9th August when the equestrian events are being held from 11-4pm.
